Overbidding is the new negotiation, especially in Amsterdam. If you’ve set your sights on a house or apartment, and the inspection has shown it’s a good buy, how do you decide on what offer to make? Today, that means how much you should go over the asking price. Without experience, it’s hard to know what the right offer is – what’s enough yet still within reason? Overbidding or bidding in general is exciting and scary, even when you’re relying on an experienced buying agent, but at least you’ll know that you’re making a realistic offer. Which will help relieve some of the tension.
